Kaitlyn, a mom of five - that is, three humans and two labradors, needed a floor that could stand up to the many joys of playtime, including zooming race cars and accidental spills.
“With little time to clean, Flooret was definitely the smartest option,” Kaitlyn says.
She and her husband researched flooring heavily to replace the well-loved carpet throughout the second level of their home.
“My daughter poured about 6 gallons of water from her sink onto the carpet and my son is potty training... the carpet needed to go.”
“We started with Google and Pinterest, looking for the best colors and recommendations. Eventually, we went out to box stores but they didn't seem to have a thick enough wear layer at our price point,” Kaitlyn says.

“Brenwick is such a beautiful color! It works with so many different color schemes we have in the kids and guest rooms. More importantly, it is holding up like a champ to spills, scratches and my son's 3 am trampoline adventures.”

“In the pictures, it reads soo red but really it's a beautiful warm, dark honey color.”
Kaitlyn installed the entire floor by herself! Utilizing Flooret’s Flooring Advice Group on Facebook, which anyone is welcome to join, she learned the top tricks for installing vinyl flooring and finished with a breeze.
“My favorite part was the snap cutting, I didn't have to get up and leave the project,” Kaitlyn says.
These cherry wood floors go so well with every aesthetic. We love the seamless look of Base's microbevels, too.
