Signature TruePlank™ Square Nosing

No. TrueStep™ and TruePlank™ are not compatible with curved stairs or stairs with open sides (open returns).

TrueStep™ treads cover the entire stair tread with a single, seamless piece. TruePlank™ nosings are used in combination with a plank to cover the entire stair tread.

TruePlank™ is primarily designed for closed return stairs. While it is possible to miter the corners, the nosings would also need to be ripped. It is not recommended for DIYers as mistakes can be very difficult to fix - the nosing may be rendered unfit for use.

A standard staircase typically has 13–15 steps. Each step requires one tread piece. Make sure to avoid counting the very top step or any landings in your tread count - those areas require a TruePlank™ nosing.

Both TrueStep and TruePlank are designed for DIY installation and can be completed with basic tools. No special skills are required. Trim to fit, and glue down.
